Thank you for visiting The Farm Experience website, we are excited to share a little about who we are and what we do.

The Farm:
The Farm Experience is located in sunny Palmetto, FL on a plot of land we call “Russo Ranch” aka Home. Here at the ranch we breed and raise registered Brown Swiss dairy cattle and take them to shows and fairs around the country. In addition to 11 cows (with another on the way) we have 2 horses, 3 goats, 2 geese, 6 ducks, 8 chickens, 4 dogs and 3 cats. Yes, that is 39 animals if you were counting, and each one of them has a name and their own personality! Needless to say, all those animals keep us pretty busy, but we love them and that’s why we work so hard.

The Family:
In short, we are a husband and wife team who love animals, the outdoors and each other. We have been together for 12 years and married for 8 of those. Our favorite thing about having all the animals at our house has always been sharing them with others, whether it be friends over for dinner, family from out of town, or strangers walking down our road who stopped to admire our beautiful cows. This is the reason we are excited to offer tours and interactions to the public, so we can provide, what is for many people, a once in a lifetime experience!

Kelley:
The mastermind behind The Farm Experience, Kelley, is an animal lover who has a passion for sharing what she has learned with others. She grew up in 4-H, breeding, raising and showing beef cattle, dairy cattle, pigs, and rabbits. It has always been Kelley’s dream to be able to share the experience of being up close and personal with farm animals with anyone who is interested. This is the reason she founded The Farm Experience, where others can have the same interactions and experiences with animals that we have on a daily basis.

Nick:
He is a little more behind the scenes, working on the website, fixing fence, or driving to north Florida for a hay run all after working at his day job. Nick grew up around cows as well, however he only had them as neighbors in the pasture next to his house. Cows became MUCH more important to him after he met a beautiful country girl back in the summer of 2007… and the rest is history.
